Your 30-day guarantee is contingent on the aftercare of your treatment and varies according to your level of infestation.

During your screening process, please refer to the chart that your technician provides to you in order to better understand your level of infestation. 

We ask that all members of your family be present for screenings.

Please compare the provided chart with your technician’s findings.

Depending on your initial sample during your screening process, you may or may not have to do any follow up.

Guarantee for Level 1 or 2

• A Level 1 or 2 on the chart are guaranteed to be bug free directly after lice treatment

• Children are guaranteed back to school same day. You will be provided with a clearance certificate to take to the school nurse upon their return

• If a bug is found on head within two weeks of treatment or if your child is sent back home from school the day after initial treatment, your technician will come back and provide a full retreatment for free

• The only requirements for this guarantee is to have everyone checked in your household. Anyone testing positive for Pediculosis must be treated by a Moms Best Friend technician same day.

Level 3-5

• If you have a Level 3-5 and a retreat is mandatory. Your guarantee week begins on the day that your technician performs your retreatment.

• The guarantee is only inclusive if a member of Moms Best Friend  performs the retreatment.

• For Levels 1-5, if you get reinfested with head lice from day 15-30, we will send a technician out to you to provide a full treatment for only the cost of a retreatment.

• The only requirements for this guarantee is to have everyone checked in your household. Anyone testing positive for Pediculosis must be treated by a Moms Best Friend technician same day.

• A sample will be required so please always save what you think may be head lice related; you can text or email us a picture of your findings **

• If multiple households are involved, the guarantee is not offered unless the secondary household is screened same day.

Level 6

• For a Level 6 please consult your technician for a course of action prior to treatment. A separate guarantee form with instructions will be provided to you.

• You will be provided with a limited guarantee back to school clearance letter and it will be up to your school nurse to readmit.

** It is very hard to identify head lice or their eggs because of their size.

Nits can even be microscopic when initially laid on the hair shaft.

A louse is the size of a small sesame seed, and the eggs are even smaller!

Head lice and their eggs can be easily confused with lint, sand, and other debris commonly found in hair.

If no proof of the bug is saved and no evidence of lice is found after technician has been called back out to your home, the retreatment fee will be applied as well as any travel fees, if applicable.

Please save anything you might think to be lice related.
